Building an SEO Foundation for an International B2B Website

A Swedish Design Brand with Lithuanian Roots
Bigso is a family business founded in Sweden in 1963 and today one of Europe’s most recognized manufacturers of premium packaging and office organization solutions. Production takes place in Šiauliai, Lithuania, while its clients include retailers, agencies, and brands around the world. The website already existed and looked representative, but its SEO foundation was weak — both technically and strategically. Our task was to change that.

A Competitive Niche, Limited Content, and No SEO Foundation
The B2B packaging and storage solutions market is highly competitive, and Bigso’s website entered it with almost no SEO foundation: meta titles were not optimized, schema markup was not working, CMS pages were being indexed while empty, and some product pages were broken. At the same time, the amount of content on the website was relatively limited, naturally reducing the number of keywords the site could target and its ability to compete in the market.

Systematic Work from Technical SEO to Content Strategy
We started with a technical SEO audit and fixes: the sitemap and robots.txt were cleaned up, 404 and 301 issues were resolved, schema markup was implemented, empty CMS pages were blocked from indexing, Open Graph images were added, reCAPTCHA was configured for form protection, and GDPR compliance was ensured. In parallel, we carried out keyword research and created a strategy based on Bigso’s business areas and search trends. Based on this, we optimized the H1–H3 structure, created meta titles and descriptions, updated the contact page content, and added date markers to the news section. We also fixed the broken “Amadeus” product page and optimized Core Web Vitals according to Google standards.

Early Signs of Growth and a Strong Foundation for What Comes Next
The technical issues that had previously limited the website’s visibility have been removed. Some keywords — especially less competitive ones — have already started moving upward. This is a typical stage in the SEO process: internal optimization creates the foundation, while consistent content and reputation building will determine long-term results. Bigso now has not only a representative website, but also a functioning SEO infrastructure to build on.
